1. I say "other" because I don't want anti-choice "Democrats" under my umbrella.
Or anywhere near my tent.

3. Sorry, I Don't Want Traditional Republican Values Under My Umbrella
Whether it's shoveling middle-class money at the Rich, or violating the Constitution in the name of safety from the boogey man, I'd like it out of my umbrella.

4. I say no because I do not want anymore anti gay anti choice Dems.
We have a Party platform and those that can't support it ought to leave. All they are are GOP lite nad it is time to recognize it.

6. If the "Democratic" party is now the party of gay-bashing corporatist anti-choice warmongers
then how the Hell are actual DEMOCRATIC values compatible with that?

7. Here's what some would like our umbrella to look like!

Really, really small.
Kinda of like the Republicans teeny weeny cocktail umbrella!

8. I voted other.
It's effective for winning elections, yes. As far as crafting common goals, no.

9. Since it is the only way to have enough votes to win an election,
it seems the "Umbrella" is it for now.

Could it be that we need to work together in the coalition. The Party
needs to do a better job of leading. In a coalition type party
people must be specific. As I watch the HIR often one group is
not speaking the same language as another. Congress Members cannot
be misleading or worse yet non-committal. This business of favoring
one group over another must go. The practice of simply looking
for rich Democrats to run for office and telling them they can
essentially vote as they please. I have nothing against the rich.
But, often the richer a Democrat the more conservative or more
willing to appease the Business Interests at the cost to the Middle
class and poor. Yes, Grayson is Great, Kennedy had core Democratic
Party Values. I am thinking of all those Democrats Immanuel handpicked
Pro-Lifer Conservatives. I have to believe it was the fact they
could help finance their own campaigns if push comes to shove.

Too often each of interest groups have one issue that matters above
all others. They end up feeling betrayed when that one issue is
not resolved as they wish. Sometimes it appears this is the only
issue that matters.

Whether a coalition party or not, the Democratic should work in the
interests of Working Class and Poor. I believe this is why the
Congress' numbers are so low in approval ratings--they appear to
be putting business interests over Working class interests.
