Sec'y of Energy Stephen Chu: Drill, Baby Drill!!!
Edited on Wed May-19-10 10:48 PM by MannyGoldstein
And a side order of nuclear reactors.

Today I was listening to the http://www.onpointradio.org/2010/05/steven-chus">May 5th podcast of NPR's On Point featuring an extended interview with Chu. Chu's gung ho. The normally unflappable host, Tom Ashbrook, was astonished.

Very Change-y.

2. I was slightly horrified when Obama brought him on board
now I'm a bit less shocked and surprised by the appointment. :-(

5. What do you think should power this country? Realistically?
You're disparaging Chu when he's given a lot of thought to this. Maybe you have also, so I can't wait to hear your solution. I don't have one; I'm just listening to big voices, and you have one, for better or worse. So do tell; what's the solution that is viable? You tell me, I'll tell the Prez. ;)

6. Remember Candidate Obama's Apollo-Sized Program
for renewable energy?

You may want to tell President Obama about it; apparently he's not heard of it and it's a damned good idea.

7. Yes, I do. I also remember the pile of shit he was handed when he
took office. Do you remember that? I'm sure, if we lived in an alternate universe where the economy wasn't imploding, he might have tried to tackle the renewable energy problem. And I suspect in his second 4 years he will.

But thanks, Manny, for reviving my opinion of you, though we were buds in arms when idiot son was in power. I think you're just a bloody curmudgeon who likes to gripe.

Bon soir!
