Hahahahahah...

Rand Paul On Civil Rights Controversy: I Shouldn't Have Talked To Rachel Maddow

The morning after he declined to endorse the totality of the Civil Rights Act in his much-discussed appearance on the Rachel Maddow Show, Dr. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) copped to feeling regret -- not over his comments, but rather his decision to be interviewed by Maddow in the first place.

"It was a poor political decision and probably won't be happening anytime in the near future," the Tea Party endorsed Senate candidate said on the Laura Ingraham show on Thursday morning. "Because, yeah, they can play things and want to say, 'Oh you believed in beating up people that were trying to sit in restaurants in the 1960s.' And that is such a ridiculous notion and something that no rational person is in favor of. she went on and on about that."

Blaming the messenger is a tactic often used by politicians when the message itself is to blame. And Paul's appearance on the Maddow show on Wednesday night was anything but bland. For 15 minutes, he and the host went back and forth in debating where there should be limits to government efforts to desegregate private institutions (Paul was skeptical that the government should play any role at all). But the notion that the MSNBC host was somehow unloading liberal hostilities on him doesn't jibe with the fact that Paul got the same type of treatment during an NPR interview earlier that morning -- or, for that matter, that a conservative voice on MSNBC, Joe Scarborough, seemed aghast at his answers. "He needs to come up with an answer today, or Kentucky will be Arizona: a battleground for ugly, racial politics," Scarborough said. "He has 24 hours."

1. I unequivocally state that I will not support any efforts to repeal the Civil Rights Act of 1964."
Wow. You know a candidate's in trouble when they are compelled to concede this.

6. With Rand -- the bar was so lowered
he can only go upwards.

AND the only reason he is saying this is because DeMint had to make a phone call and set him straight. The Cow is out of the barn ---

4. Only some as dumb as Rand Paul...
would go on Rachel Maddow's show in the first place! Doesn't he know she eviscerates idiots? But of course, I love it that idiots keep going on her show. It's the height of arrogance, isn't it? "That uppity woman is no match for MY superior intellect and argumentative skills! I'll show her..." And another victim is piled up in the corner.

7. Translation: Rand can't lie to Rachel Maddow. She's too smart for him, and she has facts to back
up what she says and asks. Paul is a liar, and needs to limit himself to bottom feeders, such as porn star Faux-Dr. Laura, Glen Beck, Insanity, Limpballs, etc. They won't ask tough questions, they'll let him tell lies and get away with it.

Conservative hate radio and TV hosts take a dump in the mouths and down the throats of their ignorant listeners and viewers. People who are too stupid to realize they're being lied to, and the shows they're supporting are getting rich off of them.

IDIOTS!

12. She's not the only one that is going to press this point

...and she made it really clear that she merely had the opportunity to be first, but it's not as if Rand Paul's history of statements on this subject were any mystery, and were simply bound to the be the "one thing that everyone knows about Rand Paul."

16. So wait...
The guy is honestly saying that being honest and up front about his views was a MISTAKE? Lovely to know that in order to progress in politics nowadays, you have to lie and evade.

I suppose he never considered that maybe it was a political mistake to ally himself with the Libertarians.
