She gets high on the back-and-forth - when she has a nutjob guest on, I don't think she's holding back rage, I think she's completely absorbed in taking them apart, seeing what makes them tick, trying to get them to reveal more about themselves than even they knew. She did that to perfection with Ayn Rand Paul. I think dropping an f-bomb WOULD be unnatural, because I don't think she's genuinely angry with them when they're talking to her. She has her politics geek hat firmly in place when on-air like that.

But obviously, as a viewer at home, it's more natural to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and shout at the TV when the spirit so moves you :)
