Imagining Sarah Palin, in her big-ass wig, talking from her VP office up in Alaska (you don't think she'd have stayed in D.C. do you?) about the spill would certainly be horrific.
That terrifying thought notwithstanding, I am wondering what everyone thinks about Obama's administration calling this national disaster, 'massive & potentially unprecedented', and, an event of 'national significance', but still bantering on about where LeBron James, of the Cavaliers, will end up playing, and giving commencement speeches around the country?
Would DU be hammering the hell out of George Dumbass B*sh if he was giving interviews about a beloved passion of his, and yammering it up with graduates at their ceremonies while a continuing massive disaster of national significance was ongoing in its 5th week? This disaster is, to take it from someone I absolutely love, "a pretty big f*cking deal." And, is it not odd to see things like this - “He doesn’t want to tamper,” Axelrod told ESPN. “But as a Chicago fan, the president thinks LeBron would look great in a Bulls uniform”, when the gulf is being inundated with millions of gallons of oil week after week?
So, what's your take? Should the president be giving interviews to Marv Albert about his views on basketball while we're in a major disaster that has lasted over a month and has no clear end in sight? Yes! No! Other!
