These are the four major BP execs I would frogmarch and arrest and throw into the oil spill
Edited on Mon May-24-10 05:43 PM by zulchzulu
If you need to see the main players in upper executive management at British Petroleum, here they are:

Tony Hayward
Group Chief Executive

Robert Dudley
Managing Director

Andy Inglis
Chief Executive, Exploration and Production

Iain Conn
Chief Executive, Refining and Marketing

As for what I would do IMMEDIATELY, I would arrest these four people for essentially attacking the United States territory and charge them with attacking this country. They knew they didn't have the ability to control damage from the type of spill that has occurred and went ahead anyway. They are also more interested in syphoning the oil from the disaster instead of just closing down the well.

They have all lied in the same way that a terrorist who attacked this country would to cover their ass.

In terms of actually arresting them, I would arrest them and put them on a plane that lands at Grand Isle, Louisiana and take them to the beach. I would make them all walk out into the oil spill up to their necks and then have them make a statement regarding their guilt.

Then officers and local fishermen would net them and throw them into a helicopter and have them under house arrest until they cease and desist until they agree to pay a billion dollars a day to stop the oil spill leak. They would still be treated as foreign terrorists who attacked our country.

Yes, it's a dream... but it sure would send a strong message to any oil/gas/nuclear interests who think they can get away with being careless and destroy our resources.

Arrest them NOW.

One thing people may not see with a precedent being set here. Imagine a nuclear power plant having an accident where they are leaking radioactive rods into the environment. Do we wait for them to clean up the mess or do we arrest them for attacking the American people?

1. No chance.
Not only will they not be arrested, we'll probably create a separate contract with them to consult with the US on cleanup efforts. They'll all get rich out of the deal.

2. As someone wrote in a post a few days ago. . . . .
If any of us had just opened a quart of motor oil and dumped it on a public sidewalk or, maybe, a beach, we'd be arrested instantly. But BP can dump brazillions of quarts of oil on the beach with impunity??? I don't fucking think so.

5. Perhaps we could have a flame thrower ready for those execs who don't comply...
...with admitting they have attacked the country.

I'll buy the damn thing and bring it there myself.

4. More members to add to the pasty faced white guys club.
It seems BP needs some ethnic and gender diversity. Maybe it would break up what looks like the British version of a frat club.

7. Declare them enemy combatants
detain them indefinitely, no lawyer or trial allowed. After all, it's what we are supposed to do with terrorists, right?

12. Certainly, the BP execs could be charged with sabotage against the US
"Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at weakening another entity through subversion, obstruction, disruption, or destruction. In a workplace setting, sabotage is the conscious withdrawal of efficiency generally directed at causing some change in workplace conditions. One who engages in sabotage is a saboteur. As a rule, saboteurs try to conceal their identities because of the consequences of their actions. For example, whereas an environmental pressure group might be happy to be identified with an act of sabotage, it would not want the individual identities of the perpetrators known."

-Wiki

Environmental sabotage against the United States is basically the same as any other terrorist act.

16. Enemy Combatants
Declare them enemy combatants. Let Delta Force seize them and send them to an undisclosed location where they can be "oil boarded". And no, I am not kidding.
