Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Turns On Dmitry Medvedev
Posted by Michael Scherer Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:50 am

The official Obama Administration policy is to work with China and Russia to diplomatically isolate Iran. According to this Reuters report from Tehran, it seems to be working, with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lashing out at Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with what sounds like a not-so-veiled threat:

"If I were the Russian president, when making decisions about subjects related to a great nation (Iran) ... I would act more cautiously, I would think more," Ahmadinejad said. "The Iranian nation doesn't know: are they (the Russians) our friends and neighbors? Are they with us or are they looking for something else?" He said Russia should not support countries which had "shown animosity to us for 30 years," referring to the United States, which has led the global push for new sanctions.

"This is not acceptable for the Iranian nation. I hope they (Russia) will pay attention and take corrective action," he said. "I am hopeful that Russian leaders and authorities will pay attention to these friendly words and take corrective action and not let the Iranian nation consider them among the ranks of its historic enemies."

1. One would think that Ahmadinejad
would be a little more careful about annoying the Russians. They are a lot less likely to be concerned with world opinion and I wouldn't put it past them to arrange an accident for Ahmadinejad.

3. And the worm literally turns.

Russia's KGB mentality doesn't like threats.

Of all of Ahmadinejad's stupid mistakes this could be the most costly.

6. Ahmadinejad should be more careful with his words.
The Russians are not the Americans. They won't hesitate to take care of him. He should go ask the Somalian pirates how they fared when they attacked a Russian ship. Oh yeah, they are all dead........

Pirates 'have all died,' Russia says, after decrying 'imperfections' in international law

MOSCOW, Russia — Following high level complaints about "imperfections" in international law, Russia announced Tuesday that captured Somali pirates "have all died." A Russian official claimed that 10 pirates seized by Russian special forces aboard an oil tanker last week were quickly freed but then died on their way back to the Somali coast.

The unidentified high-ranking Defense Ministry official did not elaborate on how the pirates died, deepening a mystery that has prompted speculation the pirates were executed by commandos who had freed a Russian oil tanker seized in waters 500 miles (800 kilometers) east of Somalia's coast.

The official told Russian news agencies the pirates' boat disappeared from Russian radar about an hour after their release.

"They could not reach the coast and, apparently, have all died," the official said.

8. July: Israel (Likud) attacks Iran. Here's why.
No later than July 30 when Iraqi airspace control is turned over to Iraqis.

Likud's timetable is running out. They need to attack Iran while the compliant U.S. is still in control of Iraqi airspace for flyovers.

And Rahm is Mega.

Time's up.
