Biden cracks a joke about Blumenthal's Vietnam service

Vice President Joe Biden apparently couldn't resist making a joke about Connecticut attorney general and Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal's exaggerated Vietnam service at a barbeque for about 60 wounded veterans at his home Tuesday.

From the pool report:

While talking about the experience of troops returning from Vietnam, joked "I didn't serve in Vietnam. I don't want to make a Blumenthal mistake here. Our attorney general from Connecticut, God love him." Later on he added "I have a bad habit of saying exactly what I think."
