Need help compiling an important List! RE: Past Presidential actions.
Edited on Wed May-26-10 06:08 PM by FrenchieCat
What were the accomplishments of the last two Presidents before this one
in their first 16 months in office?

I know Bush had 9/11 in the first 9 months,
then announced a global War on Terrorism
and ordered an invasion of Afghanistan.
He restricted Stem Cell Research,
signed into law a $1.35 trillion tax cut program—one of the largest tax cuts in U.S. history,
the No Child Left Behind Act,
the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act
and prohibited the global funding of abortion.
Anything else?

What About Clinton? What did he do in his first 16 months? (I'm looking it up)
Clinton signed the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993,
Clinton had to deal with the aftermath of the World Trade Center bombing.
Clinton signed DADT into law.
Clinton pushed for passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement for ratification by the U.S. Senate.
Clinton signed the Brady Bill

Normally, when I see someone with a question at DU, I either try to answer it,
otherwise, I don't even bother the thread.

Giving me a google link really is like not giving an answer,
which I would have preferred, since the snark wasn't required.

7. If you have no answer, why respond at all?
It is so ridiculous to post a link to Google when someone asks a question, if the person asking the question wanted to Google, they would have done some, it's not like Google is a secret.
