My conspiracy theory is they can't prove intent unless someone in the WH was dumb enough to say flat out that if u drop this they would give you a job. I pray nobody was that stupid.

I think Republicans want to hurt Sestak as much as possible so they can get that seat in Nov.

1. Sestak. WH may have made some vague offer re if he didn't want to stay in the House but that
was about it and Sestak played it up for political reasons which was really stupid.

2. I agree with you Pirate. I think Sestak is a bit of a loose cannon. I can't realy trust him.
I kinda liked him at first, but he got kinda hack on me after a while. My inner gut told me "ehhh." so I am hesitant. Not good, not bad, just a little wary...

4. That's how it appears to me.
That's why Sestak hasn't responded to calls to be more explicit.

11. I cant figure out why he played it up
Edited on Wed May-26-10 06:55 PM by MadBadger
He just wins the nomination and tries to alienate the White House? Whats the point of that? He'll sure as hell want Obama to be in a lot of places in PA come the fall.

20. He mentioned it during the primary battle and, after he won, he was too proud to own up to his own

exaggeration.

He was using it during the primary to show how he was independent and fighting everyone. Now he's just made a problem where the WH keeps getting punched in the face because of it. Way to make friends and influence people, Joe. :eyes:

22. How do you know it was an exaggeration? Rendell was downright nasty and Rahm was not
much better?

I'm not saying that anything illegal was done but the TRUTH is "the truth."

10. I think this "scandal" only exists in the hopes of the Reich but it's definitely about Obama
It's like how they went after Clinton 24/7, looking for anything, no matter how minute, to try to impeach him. It's what they do.

14. According to the GOP
Miss Cleo read the entrails of a goat, and told the white house that Sestak would be running before Sestak himself made up his mind. WOW

Neither are to blame because neither did anything illegal.

17. The WH has not spoken about it because they do not want to bury Sestak, he was just running ...
his mouth and has really stepped in the shit by doing so

The WH did not offer him a job in return for quitting the primary, at most they told Sestak they were backing Specter and if he wanted to drop out instead of running against a incumbent (like a good Dem should) they might be able to find something for him to do.

24. YES because Rahm is the root of all EVIL
I bet a lot less gets done when he is no longer the White House Chief of Staff

Then everyone on DU and bitch about nothing getting done instead of bitching about that cocksucker Rahm Emanuel

23. I figure that they have to prove quid pro quo
And who is going to spell that out if it happened.

There's also Romanoff in Colorado. He was supposedly offered something in communications with the public.

I hope the Republicans don't get to be in the driver's seat looking into this poop.

It's about the media breathing life into a zombie issue with the hope that it might splatter blood and gore on both.
