Blumenthal has a 25 point lead on McMahon and Tweety's head is about to EXPLODE |
|
Edited on Thu May-27-10 07:03 PM by bigdarryl
He fails to realize that people in there 20's to 55 have no memory of the Vietnam war so when he thinks this issue will kill Blumenthals chances of being Senator he is out of touch. The other problem is that hasn't been mentioned in the media is people in Connecticut don't like the McMahon's.He is biased as hell on Blumenthal . The man apologized it's time to move on

1. Tweety and his gut love to get riled up. He loved Malia's comment to her dad. |

Knew he would. He's all emotion--the opposite of our cool, calm and collected president.

14. his head is so far up his own ass he won't even realize how sad it is |
|
for a grown ass man to have more in common with an 11 year old girl when it comes to reacting to crisis.
he's all about soundbites and stagecraft.

2. I wish he would be this upset at all the steroid |
|
use in the WWF.
Why such obsession with Blumenthal?
We like him here because he has a long, proven record of good service. What many people here think of when they think of Linda McMahon is her parading around in a bikini, mouthing off and otherwise clowning it up in the wrestling rink. Hardly a vision of responsible leadership.

3. Tweety thinks the Carville crowd will win a PR battle with Obama. |
|
He's already chosen sides. He's seen how machine Democratic Party politics worked in the past and he thinks it will prevail again here. He completely discounts the internet as a news source. He's twnety years behind the times.
Time for everybody to throw Tweety under the bus and let him starve for ratings.

7. I have stopped watching him, altho I don't think it matters to the network. |
|
I just don't. He's been so nasty about Dick Blumenthal I can't get past it and don't want to hear it. He's just so ignorant.
I can't scream at everybody on TV and retain my sanity....

5. CT Media has been fair to Richard Blumenthal. |
|
Also, Blumenthal has 20 years as AG. What does Carnie McMahon have?
The internet is the future of media. The old pundits' time has long passed.

8. that's a pretty wide age range to have no memory of Vietnam... |
|
I suspect you mean either have no memory or were not at risk of the draft?
But, I agree that the issue is less important to a large proportion of the population.

9. Yeah, a little too broad, maybe use 45+ for that range |
|
I'm 56 and was very nearly drafted.
And like most everyone else over 50 I watched the Vietnam War on the evening news every night for years.
Not to take away from the OP's meaning, just adding clarity.

11. The media in general blows up stuff that in the public just doesn't have the same effect |
|
The Media is just in a bubble of their own making, often the big picture eludes them. This is especially true of the DC based ones.

13. Tweety is from PA, he doesn't get CT. Blumenthal has been AG since I was a kid. |
|
He is well known and well liked for all the things he did for people over the years, fighting for us. I just don't get that Linda McMahon cares about someone like me, who lives in the Northwest part of the state in a less wealthy area.

15. I said this very thing to my father. There is just a huge segment of the population that doesn't |
|
give a rip about what happened during Vietnam. I am included in that population. I appreciate the history, but it is time to move on.

17. People who are 55 have no memory of the Vietnam war? I'm 46 and as a kid I remember the war--or at |
|
least talk of it and the end of the war in '75. Other wise I agree with all you wrote. It's a non-issue.
