Does anyone remember Carville foaming at the mouth at Bush over Katrina?
It's really peculiar that he is frothing and screaming at the TV about this oil spill when I don't recall him displaying such blatant outrage at Bush over Katrina, where people were floating in the water. To me, it's very transparent what this is all about. He's a Clinton guy and this is his first chance to stick it to Obama on CNN, where they have him in 24 hour rotation.

This isn't about Carville.

This isn't about Obama.

This isn't about Matlin. Or Jindal.

It's about folks from Louisiana facing a second great catastrophe in ten years.

Too many people here are discounting what they have faced and are facing now.

5. agreed - but too many believe this is a problem we can fix quickly if we care
and still seem to think people are god like and have a solution if they really cared.

benefit of the doubt even when the lands we knew as a children are being destroyed by oil. Dead zones for generations to come ... yeah, I don't know why those native Louisianians don't just STFU and let President Obama be his awesome self without comment.

4. But there can never be enough hating on Carville, can there?
It is just too much fun.

Seriously, the guy may be upset about LA but it all seems very media whoreish to me.

7. If he is positioning himself to run for governor or senator from Louisiana.....
.....he has to criticize the Democratic president to gain favor with the people. (My guess is that it makes his wife VERY happy.)

appoint Brownie the horse whisperer head of FEMA, drew up plans to send thousands of Louisiana National Guard troops to Iraq, cut funding to the Army Corps of Engineers (to maintain and upgrade the levees), and cut back emergency catastrophe funding to pay for the tax cuts for the wealthy.

So, that's why he essentially bit his tongue during Katrina. Didn't want to get in trouble with the wifey who was involved in the early Bush years with setting things in motion for the poor Katrina response.

16. He hates Obama's guts - hates the whole progressive wing of the Dem party
He's still pissed off because Howard Dean got the job as chair of the DNC and got a shitload of Dems elected after his DLC buds couldn't do jack shit.

And you are correct - his silence during Katrina was deafening.

And don't forget that his wife was part of Cheney's inner circle - probably in on many of the decisions that led to this tragedy. It would have been unseemly of him to point that out.

I'd call him a whore but I'm afraid they have higher standards.

19. This is what carville had to say about the White House's
reaction to his rabid foaming at the mouth..

<snip>

.."He seemed, in fact, to delight in hearing he had gotten under the president's skin, noting that Obama had been defensive about criticism of his response during an East Room news conference.

"If he had one bullet and James Carville and Tony Hayward were sitting there, who would he shoot? I wouldn't take my chances," Carville said."

I can't remember the last time I turned to CNN for news...

They are so inept at how they report and refuse to budge from whatever narative they develop.
