Conservative media (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox etc) showed split screens to attack the President |
|
Sorry, I wasn't able to be on the forum yesterday to be part of any discussion but the the fact that networks would not give the President of the United States a full screen during a press conference and also take away part of the screen to show footage of something constant is outragious and unacceptable.
I noted all of the networks because they are ALL conservative.

1. Of course they are conservative! |
|
They are owned by corporations who are owned by rich investors who in the vast majority of cases, are conservatives! Their goal has always been to push conservative agendas! The right wing labeled the MSM as the "liberal" media a long time ago in order to be able to convince their base that any information that may come out on the MSM channels that might shed a bad light on the republican politicians was simply lies put out by the "liberal" media! When you have a lot of mindless followers in your base, such things work!

2. They are all Corporate and pro-upper class. They will attack Conservatives |
|
who don't tow the pro-Corporate, pro-Upper Class line. It is a very rare thing for any Conservatives to do that though.

or restore responsible regulation.
No accountability means no deterrence- a lesson that ought to have been learned from Clinton who despite his incessant pandering to the corporate media, never got a break.

4. Same thing with Clinton's State of the Union Speech |
|
The split screen was Monica Lewinsky leaving her house or returning home or whatever. There was no need to show her at the same time the President was speaking to the nation

Assuming we're talking about a split screen of the President and the leaking pipe (or other relevant images of the spill), claiming this is "disrespectful" is a stretch, and claiming a conservative conspiracy in ludicrous (btw, the "Conservative" NBC is the company that pays to put Rachel, Keith and Ed on the air every night, right?)

8. i am not saying a conspiracy |
|
i am saying a couple things:
1 - showing a split screen during a Presidential press conference is unnecessary, disrespectful and wrong.
2 - the corporate conservative media is just that, corporate and conservative. It's not a conspiracy theory, we have decades of evidence to demonstrate that - and while the MSNBC part of Universal airs 3 whole hours of liberal programs, it also has Morning Joe and MANY hours of the day of corporate news - PLUS CNBC - PLUS NBC Network news. Look at their record.
And yes slipping the screen is also ludicrous.
