Fantastic dirt on Darrell Issa!
Edited on Fri May-28-10 01:07 PM by zulchzulu

So Issa wants to be the hatchetman for the GOP? Well, Issa... let's fucking play ball, asshole.

Boil it down.
  • Issa doesn't care about 9/11 rescue workers.
  • He offers and gives Quid Pro Quo tickets to fancy Bush White House Christmas parties.
  • He is for athletes using steroids.
  • He blames his brother for his problems.
  • He sticks up for Bush's illegal wiretapping and outing a CIA agent.
  • He's a sudden fly-by-night IT expert who thinks that software deletes thousands of Bush administration emails by accident.
  • He wants to fire attorneys who don't agree with breaking the law.
  • He is an errand boy and stooge for Blackwater.

Here is a Top Ten list of scandals Issa can't deny he did:

    1. Issa Calls 9/11 Attacks in New York a Plane Crash
No doubt, Issa's slur against World Trade Center rescue workers was the most unforgettable moment in a truly forgettable political career.

    2. Issa Weeps Over Premature Withdrawal from Gubernatorial Race (his quid pro quo with Ahnald)
On August 7, 2003, Issa shocked supporters and announced he would not continue his candidacy. Comically claiming, "It had nothing to do with Schwarzenegger's decision," Issa at times wept uncontrollably as he made his premature withdrawal.

    3. Issa Attacks Families of Killed Blackwater Contractors
Among the low points in Issa's career as a Bush sycophant was his vicious defense of the mercenary firm Blackwater.

    4. Issa Accuses Valerie Plame of Perjury
On July 11, 2007, the House Judiciary Committee held a session to discuss the misuse of presidential clemency powers in President Bush's commutation of Scooter Libby's sentence.

    5. Issa Drives the Firing of U.S. Attorney Carol Lam
As it turns out, Congressman Issa was also a key player in another major Bush administration scandal, the political purge of U.S. attorneys.

    6. Issa Blames Software for White House Email Destruction
Committed to defending Bush administration wrong-doing at every turn, Darrell Issa in February weighed in on the White House's destruction of millions of emails.

    7. Issa Offers Howard Krongard a Ticket to the White House Christmas Party
Last November, Americans learned of the staggering corruption, ineptitude and conflicts of interest of then State Department Inspector General Howard Krongard.

    8. Issa Forces Jerry Nadler to Withdraw Truthful Statement about Bush's Illegal Domestic Surveillance
Last August as Congress debated revisions to FISA under the so-called Protect America Act, Rep. Issa went on the attack against opponents of President Bush's domestic surveillance program.

    9. Issa Defends Roger Clemens Against Steroid Allegations
During February hearings in which neither political party did itself credit, Henry Waxman's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee probed the use of performance enhancing drugs in major league baseball.

    10. Issa Blames His Brother for Past Brushes with the Law
Which is a lot of chutzpah for as shameless a pol as Darrell Issa. When it came to his own brushes with the law, Issa, too, pointed the finger at someone else: his brother.

    30. Me too
The people in our district paying attention will vote for anyone up against him. They hate him, but he wins by a landslide every time. Of course, watching the demonstrations at the Registrar of Voters clearly convinced me that those who count the vote decide the outcome. Issa knows that too, obviously.

    5. Since President Clinton was the one who called Sestak
BEFORE he filed for the senate primary and asked him to stay in the House, how can Issa accuse President Obama of that. And besides it was done before the sign up for the primary.

Vice President Cheney called Phawlenty AFTER he had signed up the the senate primary in Minnesota and asked him to drop out in favor of Norm Coleman, a bush administration guy.

So if Issa continues to spew that Obama is in charge and Bush administration didn't do any thing like that he is committing slander and can be prosecuted. Does any body have the guts to file a complaint with C.R.E.W. about ethics.

And by the way if you go to Issa's website to send him an email they will find something wrong with the information and tell you to go back and when you do it drops off. I have been three times. I put my real name my real email address the only thing I did was put down my address was in Vista California because they won't accept anything other than an email from his district. They kept saying the address was wrong. Then you need a four digit extension for the zip code. then the four digit was wrong. Just an excuse not to accept a complaint.

Go to a people search site and search for a common last name in Vista, CA. Then take your pick.

felony email harassment, and the case appears to hinge on the fact that he took some liberties with the truth in order to use the contact form on the webpage.

    11. I believe he cheated on the petition to recall Gov. Grey Davis.
All his clip board petition signature seekers were on his payroll. They weren't volunteers. I have reason to believe that many people signed the petition thinking they were signing a petition opposing the recall. Some seniors I know, who could be considered dotty, told me this. So far any time I have mentioned this to Democratic Party officials, they view me skeptically and do nothing. I wish some investigative reporter would get on to this and dig up some dirt on this, and I believe it will bring him down. I hate this jerk.

    15. This neocon whore needs to go. He does absolutely nothing for his constituents.
This a**hole voted virtually in lock step with the last administration, only voting against his fellow neocons on bills that were either irrelevant or did not have a chance in hell of passing.

According to his staff, he is also against the California High Speed Rail project even though two proposed rail stops run right along his district. This project would bring jobs jobs jobs and literally transform this region into a major economic hub.

But, Issa can't have any of that prosperity for the people silliness going on. Gotta keep his energy buddies happy & his constituents impoverished, hopeless, and stupid.

    19. For those tired of this neocon pos, please throw your support behind Howard Katz (D),
    Issa's opponent this November.

    _______________

    http://www.escondidodems.org/wp/2010/03/03/howard-katz-to-file-against-issa-in-49th-cd/

A press release from the Howard Katz for Congress.

Katz, a Democrat, will challenge incumbent Darell Issa, a Republican. Issa, who represents California’s 49th District, is the richest single member of Congress with a personal fortune estimated at as much as $337,400,002. He has already raised $543,267, mostly from political action committees. Issa is expected to heavily outspend Katz, who is retired from IBM and the Perris Union High School District.

Katz explained why was running despite the huge financial disparity: “I felt government should be fair. Right now, it’s not. The super‐rich, like Issa, use their money to buy influence, which is why American’s don’t trust government to treat them fairly. I believe we need to stand against all the dirty money in politics.” Katz is running unopposed in the Democratic Primary, so he will get the nomination provided he gets at least one vote. That will set up a head‐to‐head race with Issa in the general election. Katz said, “Issa used his personal fortune to finance the recall of Governor Gray Davis and attempted to become Governor himself, before suddenly dropping out in 2003. I don’t think California should be for sale; I’m running because I think Riverside and San Diego Counties deserve better.”

Independents a glimpse of what the future holds should the Republicans gain control of either house. It's hard not to recall the hysterical GOP investigating every move Bill Clinton made, when you listen to Issa.

His hysteria and ridiculous overreach is going to hurt the GOP.
