Relax, everybody. In two years you'll have a president who can "emote" and overall be
much better than Barack Obamna. Just hang in there for couple of years.

1. Sadly, that's all people seem to care about right now.
Obama doesn't operate that way; so no - he's not going to be Daddy and cry and hug people. But I have no doubt he's working to make sure criminal charges against BP will stick when they're filed. I have no doubt he means it when he says he's responsible and will follow through.

Imagine if McCain and Palin were in office....

7. Apples and Oranges.
This is occurring now, with Obama in office and investigators are collecting evidence to build a case. There's no other way to hold BP accountable.

4. You're Absolutely Right
"Imagine if McCain and Palin were in office...." Whenever, I hear Democrats complain about Obama, I remind them of your statement. It definietly makes people think a moment.

26. Well, the Right always likes to have a Daddy to tell them what to do
It shouldn't come as a surprise that they want their Daddy to hug them and comfort them when things go bad, too.

2. I'm pretty disappointed in "us". Destroy seems to be "our" highest priority. Higher even than
stopping this nightmare.

9. Thank you. I can't believe serious people are, in essence, calling on this president to...
hone his "acting" skills. Keith's commentary was so disappointing. There's currently a thread around here suggesting that someone more "liberal" should primary the prez. <shakes head>.

11. Maybe he needs acting lessons? Do we really want another Ronnie Reagan?
Or for that matter even Bill Clinton? Bubba "shared my pain" but was it all real? I like our calm, cool and collected President.

12. Was there a picture?
If so, I didn't see it.

Also, two years from now, Obama will have almost 8 months left in (what I fully expect to be) his first term.

he'll have little trouble getting re-selected.

14. I still can't figure out why people don't understand that Obama is Obama
He's not "I feel your pain" Clinton and he's not bullhorn on a pile of bodies Bush. He's President Barack Obama. His style is plain as day and for some to ask him to act otherwise is ludicrous.

15. After 8 years of Mr Shoot from the Hip.. that is all anybody wanted .. a calm thoughtful President
Now they (the media types including Tweety) are yammering for the very thing they railed against for 8 years.

17. Really? In two years? Late May, 2012?
Okay, so are you saying Obama will be impeached and convicted, or resign? Or (God forbid) be assassinated? And Joe Biden will be President?

Because two years from now will be six months before the next Presidential election and eight months before the next inauguration of a President.

19. I don't want him to "act," as in on a stage. Neither does Keith Olbermann.
We want him to ACT. As in, do something. Do it with vigor.

And anyone who makes a cheap Superman/Aquaman snark in response to this gets my sour face. No, that is not what anyone expects, so quit setting up the straw man to slap down.

22. So if he seems calm, that is bad?
Acting with vigor means nothing if you don't give a crap in reality. I am a shy, quiet type of person but very passionate about a lot of different things. Is that better or worse then someone more outspoken but less caring?

23. He could be the baby of a cucumber and the other side of the pillow if he
walked softly and carried a big stick but he doesn't kill them stone faced and with ice cold blood but he doesn't kill em at all he invites them for a beer and has a dialog on their needs right before giving them a key to the treasury.

"Stakeholders" first is the motto.
