D'Annunzio threatens to sue Fetzer

Republican Congressional candidate Tim D'Annunzio, who was blasted by the chairman of the state GOP, says he's owed an apology.

And if one isn't coming, D'Annunzio said, he's ready to sue for $5 million.

In case you missed it, N.C. Republican Party Chairman Tom Fetzer said this week that D'Annunzio is "unfit for public office at any level," among other things.

D'Annunzio is in a runoff for the Republican nomination for the seat currently held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell of Biscoe.

Court documents in a divorce proceeding portray D'Annunzio as "a self-described religious
zealot" who once called the U.S. government the Antichrist and told his
ex-wife that he'd found the Ark of the Covenant.
