I support Obama and here is a list of reasons why....
Here are just a few of Obama's early achievements (I found these through Google on various sites if anyone is interested):

Signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009

Appointment of first Latina to the Supreme Court

Repealed the Bush era policy that prevented federal tax dollars from being used to fund embryonic stem cell research

The prison at Guantanamo Bay is being phased out

Supported Cap and Trade legislation to combat global warming

Signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Funds for high-speed, broadband Internet access to K-12 schools

Public-Private Investment Program to help the housing market

Singed into law "Cash for Clunkers"

States are permitted to enact federal fuel efficiency standards above federal standards

Intervened to save the Automotive industry from going under and help steer GM onto a path of green cars..

Phasing out the expensive F-22 war plane and other outdated weapons systems, which weren’t even used or needed in Iraq/Afghanistan

Re-opened dialog with various Arabic nations

Closed offshore tax safe havens

The “secret detention” facilities in Eastern Europe and elsewhere are being closed

Expanded the SCHIP program to cover health care for 4 million more children

Lower drug costs for seniors

Limits on White House aides working for lobbyists after their tenure in the administration

Ended media “blackout” on war casualties; reporting full information

Ended previous policy of awarding no-bid defense contracts

The missile defense program is being cut by $1.4 billion in 2010

Used negotiations to try to settle the Iran issue

Ended the previous “stop-loss” policy that kept soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan longer than their enlistment date

In February 2009 declared that combat operations would end in Iraq with in 18 months...thus ending the Iraq war as he promised!

Offered real health-care reform for the first time ever and included in it a public insurance option

Obama stated many times in the primaries that he would shift focus from operations in Iraq to operations in Afghanistan and if you are upset by this support of at troop surge then you must not have been paying attention to his statements during said primaries!

Finally I want to point out that Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) gave Obama a lifetime average Liberal rating of 90% and the American Conservative Union (ACU) gave Obama a lifetime Conservative rating of 7.67%.

I am a true blue liberal but I do realize that Obama represents ALL AMERICANS and therefor will, at times, do and say things that will upset me. But when I stop to think about just how MUCH worse things would be under McCain I am thankful that I have President Obama to make intelligent decisions and to ensure a better future for America.

4. Cap and Trade Does Very Little to Combat Global Warming
Because it subsidizes the most egregious polluters. It also invests in such short-lived environmentally unfriendly technologies such as nuclear and clean coal (oxymoron if there ever was one). Obama actually ran is campaign on a 'cap and rebate' program which penalizes polluters and invests that money in consumers and truly clean (wind, solar power) energy.

12. And he is doing just that in Iraq
As I stated in my post, he is withdrawing troops from Iraq, shifting some state side and sending others to Afghanistan. Obama never stated he would withdraw troops from Afghanistan and in fact stated that our military needs to be refocused on that country and not Iraq..
