My question post 2011, How many troops will be permanently stationary in Afghanistan? |

any idea if those countries will function some day without a single US soldier there?

But from what I found, the U.S. Military is planning for somewhere between 30,000 and 70,000 troups to be stationed in Iraq after December of 2011. They will fill a training and support role.
