1. This is the up-side of celebrating every holiday known to man at the White House....
.... when Christmas finally comes around, you can bust out the baby Jesus and not have to worry about it. ;)

(not that I advocating public displays of baby Jesus' as any kind of demonstration of Christian piety mind you, I'm just saying)

6. Uh-oh...
Live nativity displayed in Washington, D.C.

A group of people traveled to Washington, D.C., last week to set up a living nativity scene to promote Christianity during the Christmas season.

Faith and Action and the Christian Defense Coalition said in a release they believe public expressions of faith are increasingly met with hostility. The groups therefore want to embrace their religious freedom to demonstrate.

National Christmas Tree Lighting

The nation's chief executive opens the holiday season with lighting of the National Christmas Tree accompanied by the Pageant of Peace. From early December to New Year's Day, the White House Ellipse Visitor Pavilion features lighted trees from each state and territory, a nativity scene, live reindeer, a burning yule log and choral concerts. Call (202) 619-7222 for more information.

5. Please tell me there's a link to this story....
I need something to send to the family idiots who choose to think Obama is a Christian hating Muslim who is set on persecuting them. Seriously.

Between this and the escalating war in Afghanistan, I'm hoping their heads will explode.

7. I'm sure every President honors the major religious holidays.
It's inside the white house and that is fine by me.

I don't necessarily want my local town hall pushing one religion over another with my tax money.

Here's a question for you: Are you just looking to pit people against one another?

I mean what's with the nasty tone.

19. OK, it ain't a "Christian nation"
But if the President is a Christian human being, why shouldn't he observe his own religious holidays like anybody else?

Long as he doesn't force anybody to observe the rites and sacred days of his religion (as as far as I can tell he isn't doin that) who gives a shit.

I'm not a very good Christian (in fact its questionable whether I could even be called one) but I kinda like Christmas.
