The chamber of commerce is angry..
that they weren't included in the jobs summit. Aren't these the people who sent all of our jobs overseas?

updated 9:05 a.m. PT, Sun., Aug 9, 2009

WASHINGTON - If President Barack Obama wants to take the measure of his opposition, he only has to glance across Lafayette Park from the White House. There, behind 10 massive Corinthian columns, is the headquarters of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — a leading critic of the administration's health care and banking overhaul plans.

A fortress for the business community, the chamber has emerged as a multitasking, multimillion-dollar defender of the private sector against presidential initiatives. As lawmakers spend time at home during their August vacation hearing from constituents, the chamber is adding its own heat to the season.

11. No just really unhappy about long term unemployment and slow biz prospects.
But I'm sure you feel better now that you've been able to dis someone about being disenfranchised from the recovery and whose equally disillusioned by the LACK of actual mainstreet recovery.

14. No one is "happy".......
and that's why some are doing something about it other than attempting to minimize what is being done.

The Stimulus created or saved 1.6 Million Jobs thus far. That ain't anything to turn one's nose up at......and just because it hasn't helped you yet, doesn't mean it hasn't helped.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=aJI_OZwQHz_U

If you thought Barack Obama, the Magic Negro, was supposed to pull enough Jobs out of his ass for everyone, you were sadly mistaken. He's been working on it, and continues to do so, and that's what he's supposed to be doing.

16. Oh, please. If you want to be a rah rah girl for him, go for it. I have always been
one to critically analyze things, and no matter the CBO report, more jobs have been lost and unemployment is higher. Therefor it will be longer before employment recovers. Critical analysis shows his unqualified support of Wall St., banks, and corps is not trickling down.

19. You are bemoaning facts, while staying close to the same argument
that the teabaggers use. Both of you turn a blind eye on the fact that
there ain't no fucking instant cure to 30 years of deregulation, outsourcing,
and privatization.......

Yours is as much of a critical analysis as the folks shown here!

38. No you seem to be trying to protect these wallstreet...
Bitches,no matter what the President tries to do you find something wrong with it. First,we have to get a plan and the wall street thieves are not going there to help they will be there to sabatoge whatever plan they come up with.

They are the ones who say they will hire workers back if they can have bush tax cuts continue, Give them the rest of the stimulus money and more tax cuts. These motherfuckers don't give a damn about you. Unless you are one of them maybe they do... Do you remember what Grover Norquist said if you don't go look him up.

They want to destroy this country and its people. These motherfuckers don't give a damn about how much money is being spent on their never ending war but,as soon as you say the people of this country need some of the money it is oh, hell no, only the rich need it.

Its our damn money,Its our damn money when its for war,Its our damn money when it goes to banks,Its our damn money when it comes to us,.And they are going to give it up.

They can lie day in and day out about our President but a lot of us know how the game is being played and the media is in on it...By the way are you the media?

20. Real or not? Seems you're the one with that problem. Not only are
all the folks I know who got laid off or company died in the last two years still unemployed. One of my neighbors is now looking at severely reduced hours, and the one on the other side's husband has been given notice that they are reducing the workforce, though he doesn't know if he's on the axe list.

Sorry, I'm seeing reality.

24. the coc
What the hell are you discussing this s--t for. Get the hell up off our President. We struggled to put him in there and now even this is his fault. To hell with that talk.the chamber of commerce had a job to do since the Reagan years. remember those. they had a responsibility to track the jobs and commerce.but under those troll administrations we lost more jobs in total. people have been losing jobs since ronald reagan and all i can hear is where are the jobs. like one day they just vanished. it was systematic.by the time dubya got there we started losing them by the hundreds of thousands.where was the coc then. if the jobs were not lost overnight you should not expect them to come back as such.ignorant talk only feeds into troll thinking. we are better than that. i have compassion for anyone who does not have a job or has lost the ability to take care of themselves or their families in a financial manner. but for some of those that are out of work what type of products do you purchase.Driving a foreign car, wearing clothes made in china, beauty products from korea. When you start talking about where are the jobs check your purchasing status.so if the coc has got a peg up their ass,who gives a sweet f--k.:eyes:

26. I work a lot of CofC luncheons and banquets. It sickens me what I hear them say...
When I see their commercials worrying about "the common man" it makes me want to puke. To hell with the environment or the middle class, it's all about how to keep the money rolling for them. They are a symptom of what's wrong with America today. I always want to take a shower after one of their shows.

29. They are so short sighted...
They oppose ANYTHING that takes money out of business's pocket. Health care, the environment, minimum wage and when they speak of unions it's like evangelicals talking about the devil. At some point their members will need someone who can afford their products but they block anything that takes money from their members and gives it back to the people who actually make the products.

This is like a snake eating it's tail. It can't go on like this much longer.
