Palin walks through the birther door.... and quickly backs out again

Last night on the Rusty Humphries show, La Palin said that the birth certificate question was a fair one. Not much later on her Facebook page she called it a stupid conspiracy and said she'd never asked for proof of Obama's place of birth or doubted that he was born in the U.S.

Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask... which they have repeatedly. But at no point – not during the campaign, and not during recent interviews – have I asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States.

2. Thank God the "bus tour" news has died down.

For a while it looked like there would be saturation coverage of every stop (like the one here in Columbus). But now I'm hearing nothing about her for days, aside from second-order idiocies like her birther rebirth (and subsequent debirth).

The less I see of her, the better.

Birth certificates are funny things, being legal documents and all...

And she could have stopped all the speculation obout Trig if she wanted to, in a heartbeat, by producing a valid birth certificate with her name on it as the mother.

5. If she is his legal adoptive mother, than her name actually would appear as his mother on the BC.

So there must be another reason for her not to produce that BC. Such as, Trig wasn't born when and where she claims he was. That data would remain the same on the BC regardless of a legal adoption and a mother's name change.
