9. Would you be happier if the Democratic number was lower?

Might as well fight them without any ammunition, eh?

11. Heaven forbid we have enough money to fight off the Repukes
This is why the 'far left' has not won any elections or passed any legislation in over 3 decades.

To quote Barney Frank: "What color is the sky in your world?"

3. That our chances are very good
With the cash advantage, the party can step up the ground game and outpace the Republicans in lots of places.

6. "Our" chances depend on who "we" are.
If "we" are corporations then "our" chances are very good as you say; if "we" are non-corporate citizens, not so much.

7. Like corporations have a free reign to spend, spend, spend all that cash they've hoarded
wherever and however they please to influence any election, from local judicial races all the way up to Republican Senate candidates.

Why pay the RNC when they can control and target their own funds?

12. I wish I could find a breakdown between PAC and non-PAC
The Democrats do get a ht from union PACs. I looked at the link and the chart of top 20 PACs for each is interesting - http://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/toppacs.php?Type=C&cycle=2010&Pty=D (the Democratic list)

One reason this breakdown would be interesting is that it could counter the talk of the enthusiasm gap. It's also interesting as for big rollers, there is the view that they bet on likely winners.
