2. Meh. I think Scahill is trying a bit of sarcastic humor here.

4. a trial is a pass?
when we put Tim McVeigh on trial were we "giving an American who murdered 168 people a pass?"

7. If they are in Yemen with Al Queda trying to plot attacks on the US then I don't have a problem
if a drone strike takes them out.

Any President who wouldn't do that wouldn't ever win a second term - I don't think the American people would ever elect a person who wouldn't do that President in the first place.

9. People caught in the US get a trial. The difference isn't that difficult to discern.
The guy who tried to bomb Times Square is getting a trial just like Timothy McVeigh.

5. So when are you driving up to Kennebunkport
...where the guy who created Al Qaeda currently lives. Do your duty, if that's what you believe needs to be done to "terraist enablers". Probably have to take out a few folks at Langley VA too. And those friends of Jebby who ran the Florida flight school/coke smuggling operation.

8. If they go hang out with AQ in Yemen and work with them to attack the US then OK.

10. Because when the Executive accuses someone of something, it has to be necessarily true
How would we know that person really was trying to join Al Qaeda?
