'That Kind Of Talk Is Dangerous'
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2010_08/025172.php

'THAT KIND OF TALK IS DANGEROUS'.... Choosing the craziest thing Sharron Angle has said can be a fun parlor game, but it's challenging to pick from her greatest hits collection. By any reasonable measure, though, Angle's remarks about armed insurrection against the United States government has to be right up there.

The Nevada Senate hopeful has, more than once, gone down this road. She's warned of Americans resorting to "Second Amendment remedies," and a month prior, declared, "{T}he nation is arming. If we don't win at the ballot box, what will be the next step?" Asked to defend the remarks, Angle has literally run away from journalists.

With this in mind, a new campaign ad from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) strikes me as very effective. It features Nevada police officer Bill Ames marveling at Angle's "Second Amendment remedies" rhetoric.

"It's crazy, but what she's actually talking about is armed resistance," Ames tells voters. "Look, I'm a member of the NRA, and a Republican. But that kind of talk is dangerous, and way too extreme."

It's a powerful indictment from a credible voice. I'm sure the Angle camp will come up with some kind of response, but a spot like this seems pretty devastating.

2. This is aapparently a tea party theme. At an early rally in VA
when they were planning to take Guns to DC, people
who spoke from the Podium plainly stated--We are
giving ballots a chance this time. If ballots do
not work,---bullets.

This theme was repeated in one of the Midweatern
states, I cannot remember which.

3. She's banned Hispanic media from her press conferences
Her office won't even return calls from journalists for Univision, Telemundo, etc.

Maybe this whole "armed resistance" meme of hers really means to head down to the border and teach illegal immigrants some "manners?"

4. What a smart move on Reid's part...
When you can get the support of a Republican NRA member, who's also a Police Officer.........

It doesn't get any more real than that.

She's talking armed insurrection. In other words: treason.

Recommended.

6. If Angle wins will she have any objection to a constituent resorting to such remedies against her?
