Normal for Dems to run ads praising Bush?
Here's the ad that http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/16/us/2004-campaign-advertising-new-democratic-group-finances-republican-like-attack.html">Gibbs helped run that attacked Dean and praised Bush:

I'm told that this is just normal politics. I don't think it is.

Has anyone ever seen an ad by Democrats that was remotely similar in praising a Republican opponent?

My god, you people really know squat about the realities of Democratic politics.

4. No, but Gibbs put his own spin onto it
Candidates dont write their own campaign ads.

5. Have you ever seen Dean praise Bush?
Video: Dean reacts to capture news

Speaking to reporters Sunday, Dean said, "This is a great day of pride in the American military, a great day for the Iraqis and a great day for the American people and, frankly, a great day for the administration. I think President Bush deserves a day of celebration. We have our policy differences, but we won't be discussing those today. I think he deserves a day to celebrate as well."

6. But he wasn't praising Bush over a Democrat
Huge, huge difference.

"Bush did a good thing" is better than "Bush is better than Dean".

8. Probably just about as normal as DUers who only post negative
threads about Dems and this admin in particular.

9. Normal for Dems to oppose every bit of the Democratic Party / Democratic President's policy agenda?
Edited on Thu Aug-12-10 06:34 PM by jefferson_dem
And unload nothing but negativity about the Democratic Party / President on a "Democratic" discussion forum?

That's not "normal politics", I assure you.

10. Once again, I was furious and disgusted when this low down, sorry
assed tactic was used against Max Cleland. This low down, sorry assed, scum of an ad it worse coming from a supposed dem (gibbs) and against a fellow dem.

If it is really okay for this low down shit within the dem party, I may need to re think many things. I don't any part of mimicking the most low down scum from the right.
