As the president gets slammed for standing up for the Constitution and against intolerance. . . |
|
. . .way too many so called progressives are still whining about the manufactured controversy of Robert Gibbs comments.
Time to grow up guys, time to fucking grown up.

|
. . .because a small group of immature progressives got their feelings hurt?

I can't be offended by both? Mr. Obama was right in what he said. Progressives are right in how they feel. I'm truly sorry that you find it immature.

11. Keep looking-- one day you'll find a President with no such list... |
|
maybe at the bottom of a gin bottle or a bong, but not in the White House.

10. The "professional left" want to micro-manage the president... |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-16-10 06:02 AM by Kahuna
He should say this..he should do that... Do they realize that there are 300 million citizens with opinions? What makes their opinions more important? Obama won with the support of many groups that are not of the "professional left." I will be glad when they get over themselves. Still, I'm not holding my breath. Poutrage is what they do. That's what makes them professionals.

12. The President injected himself into a local land use planning decision |
|
then did what anyone with a half decent memory expected and created the perception of "backing down and off."
That was as sorry a set of circumstances as anyone could have seen or imagined- and it fit right into the pattern of what the administration's worst attributes have seemed like to both his erstwhile allies and his ever as always enemies.

13. And the authoritarian followers complain |
|
non-stop about anything anyone says about the president.
Weird how all the criticisms of policy are never actually debated, unless you count one line replies that amount to "You're either with us or the terrists win!".
Flame wars are ok to create and perpetuate. Just NEVER engage anyone logically on bad policy. Like wiretapped phones, assassinating American citizens, secret rendition, military tribunals, etc. For that one should always just use snark. Debating that policy means trying to defend the indefensible.
I applauded, supported, and defended Obama on the mosque thing. He did the right thing, and if I'm going to bitch that he needs to do the right thing more often, I should be willing to support him when he does. That doesn't automatically grant a pass for the wrong things.
