The thing to remember about the polls...
is that right now most pollsters have switched over to a likely voter form which is showing a larger pool of GOP voters than there were in 2008 or 2006. It's part of that "enthusiasm gap" that they like to talk about. But if in the next 2.5 months as we actually get into the general election I believe that dems will get more enthusiastic about voting. If the likely voter turnout gets a little more democratic as the fall wears on--we will see some of these races where the Dems are behind by a close margin suddenly tighten and then it will be up to GOTV efforts to win it on election day.

I'm certain dems will lose seats in the senate and house in November, but I don't think it will be as bad as some pundits say. I know the dems are making a concerted effort to get turned out first time voters who were for Obama in '08. It will be intersting to see if they are successful. Remember you don't have to be "enthused" to vote.
