I'm highly skeptical of this CA Govenor Poll: Whitman: 51% Brown 43% (RAS of course) |
|
(What has Whitman done to open up such a lead in a state where the current GOP governor has a 26% approval rating).
Rasmussen 8/24/10; 750 likely voters, 4% margin of error Mode: Automated phone (Rasmussen release)
California
2010 Governor 51% Whitman (R), 43% Brown (D) (chart)
Favorable / Unfavorable Meg Whitman: 49 / 44 Jerry Brown: 46 / 51
Job Approval / Disapproval Pres. Obama: 55 / 43 (chart) Gov. Schwarsenegger: 26 / 69 (chart)

1. Those numbers would suggest to me that the Bay Area |
|
was dramatically under-polled.
It could be Ras up to their old tricks again.

3. I find this very hard to believe |
|
51% seems like a huge jump for Whitman, since she only seemed to have support in the low to mid 40s in other polls.

5. smear and fear 24/7 goes a long way. Brown is not going negative. I suggest |
|
all Cal DUrs donate or volunteer for Brown. This is important.
At a time when corporatism and money are causing many of our problems....we get a corporate billionaire who won the primary by out-hating the other republicans. Arnold looks like a leftie compared to Meg.

6. Did you see the article where the Florida polls were way way wrong. |
|
they are now trying to find out how these polls were so wrong. The picked the wrong people by as much as double digits. See how the republican polling companies are trying to influence the voter. I guess they thing the public is too dumb to notice, but in this case they weren't. Some times when the fudge the polls for the "wrong" person, the people show up overwhelming to show they didn't take the polls and vote for the "right" person.

8. The polls are all over the place on this race. |
|
A month ago SurveyUSA had Whitman up by eight while Ras had her up by one... now the two have virtually swapped places. The only other firm with polling in the last month (IIRC) was PPP who had Brown up by six.
Doesn't make sense.
