Welcome to the third rail. |

If the Dems allow "tinkering" to Social Security that will be the doom of the party. They'll make the Neoliberals and Right-wingers happy but every Democrat I know will abandon the party. It's like watching a child play with a loaded gun. My God!

1. How do you know this, though? Look at those like Blanche Lincoln or Joe Lieberman. |

No establishment Dem is frightened of the voter when voters seem to stupidly send back to Washington these same DLC clowns who screw them over in the first place.

2. Personaly, I am not relying on SS for retirement - because retirement is out of the question. |

Once I cannot work any more, I am out of here. I will not be burden to my family But, even though it will not affect me personally, IF Obama and the Dems cut it for those who will rely on it, I will not only not vote for them but will work against them. Third rail, indeed. This administration and the party leaders are accumulating so many "last straws" that it will take a major reversal of their policies to bring me back to their side.

3. Did every Democrat you know abandon the party when Democrats raised the retirement age to 67? |
