"I continue to be amazed by how...the press treats the GOP's descent into ignorant madness" |

http://www.prospect.org/csnc/blogs/tappedAdam Serwer I continue to be amazed by how nonchalantly the press treats the GOP's descent into ignorant madness, and how willing they are to take their cues from a conservative media machine that shares none of their supposed journalistic values. Read this opinion piece about the conservative media's deliberate dissemination of misinformation and imagine, as a reporter, how you would justify treating anything they say as "news." Reality, it seems, still has a liberal bias.http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/08/26/4974458-first-thoughts-surviving-the-tea-partys-takeover-of-the-gop?ocid=twitter*** Surviving the Tea Party’s takeover of the GOP *** Stuck in the middle with you? more... http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/08/26/4974458-first-thoughts-surviving-the-tea-partys-takeover-of-the-gop?ocid=twitter***************************************************** http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/25/building-a-nation-of-know-nothings/Building a Nation of Know-Nothingssnip// It’s one thing to forget the past, with predictable consequences, as the favorite aphorism goes. But what about those who refuse to comprehend the present?

1. It's kinda funny to watch them lapping up the GOP's stale shit sandwich |
|
Beyond me how people can take the GOP seriously no matter how much they gloss them up, with the levels of hypocrisy and denial going on underneath.

That's why I'm giving to every Democratic Party advocacy group I can. I'm hurting financially, but this ignorant madness has to be stopped. Please give as much as you can to the DCCC, DSCC, OFA, and any other legitimate voter turnout and campaign finance group you can.

9. This time reminds me of the depression period in Europe in the 1930's |
|
when the Nazis arose in Germany and the Fascists in Italy. Industry and the rich and noblility supported them as they began to gain power - they thought they could control the thugs they had financially supported after they had gained political power, but the new political parties were stronger and more ruthless than even the industrialists...the political parties took over everything and within a few years the rich were working for the thugs and within a decade much of Europe was destroyed and millions were dead.
Many Germans in the early'30's regarded the Nazis as clowns and fools...by the late '30's no one dared speak against them.
