Politico: Murkowski may seek Libertarian nod if she loses GOP nod to Milled
Edited on Fri Aug-27-10 12:43 PM by Perky
f Murkowski does lose the ballot count and therefore the nomination, she has not ruled out running as a write-in candidate or trying to get on the ballot as the Libertarian Party's nominee – the latter of which Miller also said made it unfair for the NRSC to intervene in the race. “It is inappropriate for the NRSC to spend money on a candidate who may not even be the Republican nominee and in fact may change parties to run against the Party's choice,” said Miller.

One would expect that Miller may do the same thing if he loses, That might be enough vote splitting to tip it to the Democrat. hee hee

1. Any polls out there? Wouldn't it be great if a Dem beat palin's buddy?
If the guy has a chance, he might get money from me.

2. If Murkowski manages to win the count after the NRSC stepped in, the Tea Party will throw a fit
You know they'd start going on about how the RINO stole Miller's victory. Miller could easily pickup the Alaska Independence Party line, as I don't think they have a candidate. No matter who wins, I see a third party challenge from the loser.

4. I think Alaska and Sister Sarah just sent the Dems a welcome opportunity
This was a race nobody would have expected to be up for grabs, but now we have a candidate who is getting a lot of attention and they have yet to know who they will run. One way or another the tea party will be upset or Murkowski's supporters will be upset. I think Dems can pick up this senate seat.

5. It's a farce that Alaska has either of these dipsticks in the running
It's obvious that the Republican primary is devolving into a grudge match / feud between the Murkowskis and the Palins (with Miller serving as Sarah's proxy).

So much for adults being in charge.
