5. I used to live in NM
So you would guess it's because the southern part of the state is more motivated to vote?

Or is it that the purple middle is undecided?

7. Maybe Patricia Madrid should have run
She's originally from southern NM and a Democrat. I don't know if she could have beat Denish in a primary, though, with Denish being the incumbent...Madrid almost beat Heather Wilson

9. I don't think so Patrica Madrid would beat Martinez
because I watched Wilson and Madird debate. She looked so weak and costly to Wilson win! As I said, I blame Gov. Richardson a bit.
We will see in NOV, Glad that about two Districts. District 2 is not easy...

8. Some good and some bad news there.
Gov is obviously a disappointment, but in line with some other recent polling. I'm actually happier with NM-2 than I am with NM-1. The 2nd is expected to be a tough seat, but our guy is ahead and both are well-known. If this is going to be a "wave" election we would obviously lose both districts, but I wouldn't expect to see a three point lead if there really is a wave out there.

OTOH, NM-2 isn't supposed to be a tossup race. 47-41 is closer than I'm comfortable with for a seat that is supposed to be likely-D.
