For those that think 18% believing Obama to be muslim is shocking:

In 2002, 19% of the population believed Elvis might still be alive

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,60353,00.html

25% of British citizens, and 6% of Americans, believe that man has never landed on the moon:

http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/space/07/17/moon.landing.hoax/index.html

Is it really so hard to believe that 18% of the public believes Obama is a muslim?

I bet more than 18% of the public believes in leprechauns.

3. Majority of GOP think the President a 'secret Muslim."
The percentage appears to be increasing.

Today in the Huffington post a poll reported a majority of GOP think the President a 'secret Muslim."

4. 30-50% of Americans still believe in ghosts, depending on which poll you believe.
As far as humans have come, we're still awfully primitive, full of susperstitions and fear.

6. In the case of republican political tea baggers
and in the case of Obama's birthplace and religion, I personally think it's more of stating (hoping) they believe it rather than an actual belief. You know that there are many who really believe that saying it may actually make it come true.

7. My assistant, aged 25, who is otherwise a very intelligent and well-informed
left-leaning person, thinks the moon missions were fake.

No accounting for it. I just shake my head and sigh.

10. no, both sides do not...
think about- if we faked the moon landings, would the Soviet Union have let us get away with it? Hell no, they would be screaming blue bloody murder, and would post the telemetry data as evidence.

12. If we faked it, how would they know?
Not saying we faked it, but if we did, perhaps we pulled it over their heads too?

14. Radio telescopes...
like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovell_Telescope
This is British, but it was the easiest to find as "Jodrell Bank" is something that I remembered. The Soviets had the same type of equipment.

8. Very easy to believe. As a matter of fact,
I suspect that if I intersect the set of blue collar workers and those approved of bush's presidency, that number would also be 18%. If we further intersected that set with those people that think Obama is a Muslim, we would still be at 18%.

It really doesn't matter to me if some believe we never landed on the moon if they don't bother to vote.

16. Actually it's 24% according to Newsweek and Time polls
Not only is it shocking, it's a fucking JOKE and an indictment on what a pathetic disaster the mediawhores are for our country

Just as bad as in 2003 when 70% of Americans thought there was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda even though there was no proof.

The mediawhores aren't doing their jobs and they appear to be making things worse.
