Edited on Mon Dec-07-09 01:54 PM by bigdarryl
just asking because every time the Congress talks about a compromise like instead of a public option there now talking about offering in the heath care reform the same health care options Congress now enjoys guess what HE'S AGAINST THAT ALL SO. And whats this talk about waiting until the next midterm elections to get more democrats. YEAH!!!! Ed that,s a bright idea I'm I wrong on this?

2. because as it now the health plan will force the system to work ...
... through private for private insurance companies ...... millions of more customers
forced to pay the very companies that have caused all the problems.

From single payer to public option to trigger to hammer to codified law that will keep the
status quo making billions and the problem really will not be fixed.

5. Ed does prefer single payer
It was my understanding that if there is a STRONG public option and no trigger he would compromise that far. But if this thing is too skewed, we're screwed and he says just forget it this time. If it's not even something that can be fixed later, then why do something that is a total gift to the insurance companies.

4. Like all TV talking heads, Ed's only agenda is increasing his viewership.
I have no idea what you're talking about, though.

7. Conflict and bombast sell better than patience and consensus do.

Big Ed's only goal--his only goal--is to say things that will keep the largest number of people watching through the next commercial break. If you don't like what he's doing, don't reward him by watching it.

12. SCREAM REAL LOUD
Edited on Mon Dec-07-09 11:32 PM by Moochy
That seems to cover his agenda on pretty much any topic.

oh yeah and don't forget, folksy.

But yes, he does seem to prefer single-payer to a seriously compromised bill. I think that's a good position to take if you are in the negotiating business.

13. Well now I understand why Obama may have been quiet on the public option.
If the Dems clued him in on expanding Medicare and Medicaid, then the public option may be a moot point.

14. I suspected something similar. I also suspect this medicare/medicaid expansion thing
has been quietly focus-grouped and the dems found significant public support for it in states where it really matters. We'll see how it turns out but I'd be surprised to find out I was wrong.
