Are we actually growing up in our approach to international policy?
Edited on Thu Sep-02-10 02:57 PM by Peacetrain
I was just listening to SOS Clinton say that the United States would partner with the Israelis and Palestinians but not impose on them their peace process..

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSLDE68000920100902 (the quote is not in this article..I am paraphrasing from what was on the TV)

They the Palestinians and Israelis have decided to meet every 2 weeks to try and iron out their differences

Gates is in Afghanistan telling them that "they" have to step up and clean up the corruption.. they are responsible for their own government..

We are pulling out of there basically next year..

Somebody pinch me

Oh, you're awake alright!

This is really good news... we can't manage the planet alone.

I am not an isolationist by any means.. but I am a Marshall plan kind of person.. we can impact with help and information on a humanitarian level...but this war buisness... enough is enough
