Dan Maes’ wife: I will not let him drop out
The wife of GOP gubernatorial hopeful Dan Maes wrote an angry, impassioned letter to supporters, decrying behavior among the Republican “establishment” who have spent the last three weeks urging him to drop out of the race.

The Aug. 27 e-mail, titled “The View From a Smoke-Filled Room by Karen Maes,” talks about instances since the Aug. 10 primary where Maes was invited to meet with unnamed Republican big wigs — only to have them ask Maes to back out of the race.

“Not only do they not support him but they are what actually make up the ’smoke filled room.’

This room does not have four walls. It can be a phone call from someone who thinks they have more power than they have. It can be a meeting at a restaurant with someone who asked for a meeting “to help” Dan and that person attempts to pressure Dan to leave. It can be a potential fundraising event with a few wealthy people who attempt to hijack the meeting and appeal to Dan’s integrity and honor to “do what is right” and step aside for their candidate.”

1. Dan Maes is such a phony if I were Karen Maes
I'd have him examined to make sure he was really a man.

4. I love nothing better than a good old fashioned GOP civil war
Colorado governorship, I believe, is safe for the Dems, now if the Dems can put Bennet over the line.
