1. Over 500k joined the job market. 290k found jobs. The rest were now included in the unemployment #s |

Because many more people began looking for work again.
The reason the number did NOT go up in June and July is because many workers got discouraged and gave up, thus taking themselves out of the numbers.

I know thats true because in NJ 670 police officers have been laid off this year so far and more are expected and teachers are having a problem also.
