Criticize and Blame Obama All You Want, But At The End of the Day
It's up to you about who will run your government. Teaching someone a lesson by sitting out elections or not showing any energy will be an extremely expensive lesson.

For example, if the Republicans control congress next Jan. 2011, then you can forget about any further extensions of UE benefits. That's gone right off the bat. Millions of your fellow unemployed Americans will be destitute. Now, I ask you. Is that worth "teaching Obama a lesson"? I know that several will respond with the straw man argument rebuttal, but you know that this is the truth. UE extensions will be gone, and there's nothing that Obama can do about that.

That's just the start. With the Republicans, you'll get regressive action on the environment, education, health care, finance reform, taxes, and the list goes on and on.

At the end of the day, we get the leaders and the policies that we deserve.

1. I have no intention of sitting out the election. After seeing what
was done in the last administration and knowing what those same people (maybe plus some really really crazy ones) would do and be able to do, only a fool would give them the chance to get in office by not voting for the Dems.
If people sit it out who could keep the Dems in office, they might as well join the tea party because they qualify for it.

2. Hey, I am voting!
And I am voting for our Democrats that are very much deserving of my vote because they earned it (Indiana).

What I am not doing is busting my ass on my very limited spare time and spending my money to finance some Blue Dog the national campaign committees want to save.

Times are too tough and money too tight. My family comes first!

6. I wonder if the Blue Dogs were not part of the equasion ......
I think we would have more than enough votes to keep Dems in power and ReElect Pres. Obama in 2012...

4. as the DNC abandons more and more dems candidates?
our local guy came within 2% of knocking off the repub congressman in 08, so we are trying again this year. In 08 DNC wouldn't help out and it is not helping again this time.

The Dean 50 state strategy has been abandoned by the he's not McCain crowd.

8. I will very definitely vote Dem, as will my family.
I will lead them to the voting booth if I have to, but they will vote, and they will vote a straight Democratic ticket. They all fought for Obama and aren't about to step away now.

11. Maybe I've just missed the posts, but I haven't seen many people
who intend to sit out the election. We might not be happy with Dems for whatever reason, but unless someone sneaks into our homes and lobotomizes us in the middle of the night I'm sure we'll vote to keep Republicans out of power (with the hope a close call will inspire elected Democrats to stop trying to be Republican-lite).
