I think we on the left should also offer positive reinforcement along with disapproval. I wish everyone would take the time to send a positive email or letter to Senator Kerry, thanking him for being a lawmaker who actually does the work and is trying to help the country.

9. Though there is not enough out yet to tell, I wonder if much of the funding idea

is similar to what he put in the High Speed Rail bill he sponsored in 2008. It is really cool to think that they will really act to set up the mechanisms to fund all these needed projects. One sign they were needed, is that there was a radio news report that some states were actually converting some minor paved roads to gravel - to cut the on-going maintenance budgets. This is going backwards.
