2. Now there's a lunatic pastor in TN who is going to do the same thing,
and video tape it for the Internet.

Hateful wackjob.

16. Just post "Obama won"
in "certain forums" on DU and it'll get 15 recs in an hour - even if the what he won was a piece of poo, or the post makes no logical sense - like this one.

19. I would like to see the guy who ran for president in 2008 named Obama win
but #1. He's not running in 2010. #2. Candidate Obama, and president Obama have turned out to be two totally different people IMO. I am not a fan of the version of Obama we have gotten during his first year and a half. Yes, he's still better than a Republican, but so are 53% or so of all Americans so that really doesn't say much. I've got a real problem with his pro-corporate stance on many issues.

20. i'm seeing exactly what i expected
a intelligent pragmatist who was going to have a learning curve and play his first term, or at least the 1st midterm, very close to the vest. i expected him to disappoint me with centrism and pandering to low-information 'independent' voters who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

what i didn't expect was unamimous childish petulance from the GOP and the degree of vicious, blind hatred that the VRWC has created through unrepentant lies in their media organs. that has surprised me. but i don't think it has surprised Obama.

don't kid yourself: 2010 is a referendum on Obama. but i fully expect the carnage to be far less than the punditry and DU chicken littles anticipate.

4. I heard about this on the radio driving home from work.
They also said that Florida law enforcement had planned all kinds of law enforcement officers and security measures for the event, and they were going to send the bill to the church.

I'll bet that had a little something to do with this idiot cancelling it.

10. Am I too far off the mark in thinking that there are some sinister forces
who were HOPING the timing of all this (end of Ramadan, 9/11) would incite radicals enough to provoke another terrorist attack on purpose, to distract from the elections?

12. Sorry, nope....
.... because, tomorrow, when he INTENDED to talk about the economy and the November elections, all the press will want to talk about is this ..... or at least that is the message that will win the day.

Beergate all over again.

And this happens time and time again .... the WH's message gets hijacked by some BS cable news story. I dont believe in conspiracy theories, but this is starting to make me wonder.

17. Any word on the hatemongerer's claim that he got the "mosque" moved from Ground Zero?
Edited on Thu Sep-09-10 05:29 PM by Liberal_Stalwart71
Note: (1) I know it's NOT a mosque and (2) that the center is NOT on or near Ground Zero.
