(I can't belikeve that Angle is still that competitive after all the stuff that she has said):

1. It's generally considered bad news for an incumbent if they can't crack 50%.
A majority of undecideds usually go for the challenger in a race like this. I am in Nevada and I have to tell you, Reid is hated so much by a lot of voters that they are willing to vote for a lunatic like Angle if that's what it takes to get rid of him.
