Quinnipiac Poll: CT Governor: Malloy 50% Foley 41% |
|
Yesterday's Q-Poll on the Senate race had Blumenthal up by only six on McMahon--according to this poll on the gov race, Malloy is in a somewhat better position--or is he? Blumenthal had 51% and McMahon had 45%, so more people may have made up their mind in the senate race, while more are undecided in the governors race. Still, Dems lead in both and we need to make sure they win both.
Quinnipiac 9/8-12/10; 875 likely voters, 3.3% margin of error Mode: Live telephone interviews (Quinnipiac release)

2010 Governor 50% Malloy (D), 41% Foley (R) (chart)
Favorable / Unfavorable Tom Foley: 34 / 24 Dan Malloy: 46 / 21
Job Approval / Disapproval gov. Rell: 58% Approve, 35% Disapprove (chart)

1. Foley is most likely not going to beat Malloy. Foley is a weak, unlikable |
|
candidate. His favorable ratings are horrid (34%!). The McMahon/ Blumenthal race will be close, possibly closer then many think because she has loads of money and is running ads 24/7. But Blumenthal is inherently more likable and well known having been the AG for so long here. Plus, he has a good rep against big, corrupt corporations. Foley has a lot of money too but he just has nothing to run on.
