1. I'm wondering when Rossi will decide that there's more to life than being an also-ran.

5. Yeah, what's wrong with him?
How many times do we have to kill him before he stops coming back? It's like some really bad zombie movie.

25. The Washington State GOP only has 2 candidates with state wide name recognition..

...perpetual loser Dino Rossi, and Rod McKenna the state AG. Rod is holding out to run for Governor. That leaves Dino to run for everything else.

36. Never. He's going to be "that guy" who runs for every statewide office.
We've got 'em here in MA. Delaware has O'Donnell, Illinois has Alan Keyes.

8. I don't know if Rossi.....
can't say no to the Washington GOP or if they can't say no to Rossi, but one more defeat and his name will be synonymous with chronic loser.

After the close call in 2004 a bunch of conservatives in WA can't seem to let go of the idea Rossi really won the Governorship and was robbed. They're gonna run him till he wins or dies, I guess.

Of those two choices...

!

Your take on this sounds right. I really hope Patty smears him this November.

Well, the numbers seem to give her some strong encouragement,

and that goes for a lot of the rest of us whoi aren't even IN Washington.

Go, Patty!

22. Yes. A good soul with that genuine focus on what's
actually supposed to happen out there.

She's totally worth it just by herself, and compared with a monstrous thumb puppet like Rossi, she looks absolutely terrific.

By historical precedence, a republican should have won the 2004 election. Washington tends to vote democratic in national elections, but not necessary for governor.

Clarence D. Martin...Democratic...1933-1941
Arthur B. Langlie...Republican...1941-1945
Monrad C. Wallgren...Democratic...1945-1949
Arthur B. Langlie...Republican...1949-1957
Albert Rosselli...Democratic...1957-1965
Daniel J. Evans...Republican...1965-1977
Dixy Lee Ray...Democratic...1977-1981
John D. Spellman...Republican...1981-1985
Booth Gardner...Democratic...1985-1993
Mike Lowry...Democratic...1993-1997
Gary Locke...Democratic...1997-2005
Christine Gregoire...Democratic...2004-present

until the early 1990s, the state tended to switch back and forth between democratic and republican for governor.

I remember thinking before the 2004 election that the state would probably vote a republican in as governor. Thank god they ran Dino. He couldn't carry a state that was long overdue for a republican and his party carried the national election.

I was able to pass him and GLARE into the window. I'm sure it will change his vote. :eyes: But I just get so angry in MY city that there are any fucking Republicans!

7. Amen, gateley!
I just shudder to think of Rossi as a Senator, and am very happy to see those poll results!

I, too, am always appalled when I see a Rossi sticker, just as I was when there were McCain/Palin and Bush stickers. However, in these parts, the blue supporters certainly outnumber the red ones!

Meaning, Teabagger enthusiasm has been included in this, but Rossi is STILL behind 9 points nevertheless!

28. Looks less and less likely republicans will take the senate
I think WA was kind of a tease anyways. Like Boxer, Murray's vulnerability was exaggerated. Now of course, anything can happen on election night, but if Democrats get their supporters out to the polls WA and CA won't be a problem.

39. The polls since that have shown a close race are all Rasmussen
or SURVEY USA. Watch for the release of the Washington Poll in about 2 weeks and another Elway poll before you decide this race really is close. Both campaigns have publicly questioned the accuracy of SURVEY USA polling in this race.
