Tim Kaine can't even answer the simple question - HOW are you going to motivate the Dems to vote?

Chuck Todd & Savannah Guthrie gave him every opportunity & all he could say is we're better than the republicans.

No bumpersticker message, nothing motivational other than the rethugs will take us backward.

Even Biden was more motivating during his interview with Rachel last nite than Kaine was today.

Yes - I am venting. I am frustrated!! We need excitement coming from the DNC. Not a bunch of excuses of why the teabaggers are more motivated than us. Get to work Kaine, or resign!

6. I have to disagree with you - their leaders motivated them. Palin, Beck - etc.

They started spewing their bs, organizing rallies and the insane among us started coming out of the woodwork.

I can call and call and call voters in my area to get out and vote but that is only part of it. I'm not talking about Obama and Biden here, they are really ramping up the message. I'm talking about a strategy.

I want to win in November & I hope Tim Kaine proves me wrong.

So where are the Democratic leaders outside of the WH, Congress and the DNC?

They've got Rove, Palin, Limbaugh, Beck and others rallying them.

Democrats spend all their time complaining about the President, as if he's on the ballot or the only one voting in November.

Frankly, nothing Kaine says is likely to motivate anyone who wants him replaced with Howard Dean.

Kaine is more of a behind-the-scenes facilitator than a TV personality. It's that Midwest (that's where he grew up) vanilla persona.

He should be where Rahm is, as that is his strength. The DNC is the public face of the Democratic Party - sure, Obama is the titular head of the party, but he has to be president of the nation and look beyond partisanship. The DNC chair MUST be partisan. He must be the messenger and the message. That's where Dean excelled - he could rally the base, he could empower the 50 state organizations, he could put out a message of clear Democratic principles. Kaine seems incapable of that. McAuliffe, before Dean, never tried - he was partisan only for the DLC. Dean, despite his being presented as a left-liberal, was a moderate who helped a lot of much more conservative Dems get into office with his 50 state strategy. Kaine, OTOH, seems intent on driving the other wing, the left-liberals OUT of office.

It's time to shake things up. Move Rahm out of the WH. Replace Kaine. Put people in who are not trying to undermine the progressive base.

Kaine was well-informed and straightforward, and that in the face of CTodd's sniveling line of questioning.

Me thinks the dissatisfaction with Kaine has more to do with some people's infatuation with Howard Dean who did a great job during his tenure but is no longer DNC Chair.
