4. Bill Clinton needs to get down there and campaign.
No doubt he will as the election gets closer.

5. Lincoln has always been hopelessly behind in the polls.
This was an excellent opportunity to knock her off in the primary and it's unfortunate Halter wasn't able to topple her. Lincoln has been nothing but an impediment to passing progressive legislation. It would be nice if the Democrats could reach an accord to hang with the party for cloture votes and then do their own thing. I'm tired of one or two Democrats exploiting the ability to nix progressive legislation.

6. Nah, they're just nurturing their inner bigots
These people gave more votes to John Kerry in 2004 than they did to Obama in 2008. They're hopeless.

13. That was the word in 2000
Blanche Lincoln doesn't stand and vote for the same things as Bush either. Neither would Halter. But Halter's voting record would have looked a whole lot more like Lincoln's than Kucinich. They are products of their environments, all Arkansas Dems. The problem isn't Blanche Lincoln. The problem is an ineffective message BY PROGRESSIVES into those states.

Blanche Lincoln in the Primary, even after the record she had created of not backing the President's legislative agenda. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/01/white-house-backs-blanche_n_481099.html?ref=twitter

And, Bill Clinton actively campaigned for her in the primary as well. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38967733/

The Lt. Gov. Bill Halter appeared to be the better candidate. The labor Unions spent lots of bucks on his behalf.

Not only that, the White House then insulted the labor union for wasting money on the Lt. Gov. That didn't seem to be a very constructive thing to do.

If I may have an opinion, I believe that the White House and Clinton "lost the seat" by backing a candidate that was obviously unelectable and that Lt. Gov. Halter could have defeated the Republican candidate.

16. It's a Red State.
Blanche Lincoln barely to NEVER votes with us and it's rather doubtful that Halter would have gotten far as a dem. I think you're reaching in your blame, especially considering the state these people are representing. Blanche Lincoln's voting record is in direct relation to her district and the people she represents.

18. Yes, the White House and Clinton did support her. What I meant
by my post as that Clinton and the White House did support her and chastised the labor union for spending money on the Lt. Gov Harel's campaign. It seemed apparent at the time that the Lt. Gov. was more likely to defeat the Republican.

I felt that if the White House and Clinton had supported Harel, we could have held the Senate seat.
Lincoln has next to no chance to win.

And lets all give up our weekends and evenings to make phone calls and pound the pavement for Blanche Lincoln. (yes this is :sarcasm:)

Oh by the way, where all all of those corporate groups now that got her through the primary?
