And again I ask...
if this is Democratic Underground, why are we giving so much time and publicity to Christine O'Donnell when there is a perfectly good Democrat running who is being ignored?

Meet Chris Coons

New Castle County Executive Chris Coons, a Democrat, turned New Castle County around, working to protect and improve the quality of life for more than 530,000 Delawareans. Under Chris’ leadership, the county launched a new Safe Streets partnership to remove dangerous parole violators from our neighborhoods, cleaned up the more than 70 of the worst properties, opened the new Woodlawn and Kirkwood Highway Libraries, and added a new paramedic unit and station, while cutting millions in wasteful spending and restoring fiscal responsibility to county government.

Chris was elected New Castle County Council President in 2000 and earned a reputation for delivering solid results. He led the fight to preserve open spaces, improve public safety, and fought for an independent ethics commission.

A longtime New Castle County resident, Chris grew up in the Pike Creek and Hockessin areas and lives in Wilmington with his wife, Annie, and their three children, Michael, Jack and Maggie.

Chris worked as in-house counsel for W.L Gore & Associates for eight years. He has also worked with several non-profits, including the Council for the Homeless, the education-oriented “I Have a Dream” Foundation, and the South African Council of Churches, and serves on several boards including First State Innovation, the Bear/Glasgow Boys & Girls Club, and the Delaware College of Art & Design. Chris has been named an honorary commander of the 166th Air Wing of the Delaware Air National Guard, and is a honorary life member of the Minquadale Fire Company. A graduate of Yale Law School, Chris also holds a bachelor’s in chemistry and political science from Amherst College and a master’s degree in ethics from Yale Divinity School.

1. Uh, tearing down repubs is what we do!
Tooting the horns of our candidates takes a back seat to ripping into the opposition around here, or haven't you noticed? he he

You can stop asking. It's what we do. It's ALL WE DO!

2. Good point; he needs a lot more exposure and support. From
the little I've seen of him, he seems like an excellent candidate.

3. Coons is the one for most of us. O'Donnell may be
institutionalized by November anyway. Long time overdue, but better late than never.

I hope she will be, at least. She's a woman whose first date was on a satanic altar and who most recently warns us all on scientist-engineered mice with human brains. She's a mind at sea. And she deserves to receive treatment.
