1. God help him when campaign progressive rhetoric ends in November and he goes back to the right. |
|
If Obama just would govern as a progressive his approvals would be sky high...it is only up because he is preending as a progressive at the moment. After November expect it to fall.

2. Nonsense. FDR caused the Democrats to get crushed, no? |
|
Wait... what was that? You say that two years after FDR took office the Republicans took a drubbing so great that only 17 Republican Senators remained?
Wow! I guess fighting for working Americans pays political dividends.

3. Perhaps you should communicate your concerns to the Blue Dogs in Congress |
|
seeing as how they are the ones most responsible for the flaws in the legislation we have passed thus far.

4. That poster doesn't understand political reality. |
|
President Obama just needed to close his eyes and wish really, really hard and everything goes his way.
The ConservaDems in the Senate don't even get to vote on anything, let alone vote against anything. They don't exist.

5. It is like he is a friggen dicator ... |
|
and does not have a nutless congress to deal with ...
This kind of crape is why November looks worse than it should ...
Rs could tell the country that everyone should take a cheese grater to their forehead, and the party would be 100 percent behind it ... We have the most progressive president since FDR, and the far left eats what crumbs from his rear end are left over after the republicans ravage him ...

instead of just wishing really really hard. See, he didn't work hard enough. :sarcasm:
There does seem to be a lot of inability to understand that Congress is the problem and that they are a completely separate branch of the government from the Executive branch.

7. If only you had a clue. His problem is with Independents, not "progressives". |
|
Grantcart posted a recent Gallup poll that shows the Prez's support among Democrats and self identified "progressives" to be sky high. Low double digits amongst Repukes is what is keeping him, consistently, below 50%. So your analysis is dead wrong.

Remember when we used to pooh-pooh the idea that he would ever fall below 50%? And now we're reduced to trumpeting those singular days that show up every week or so when he is (gasp!) -- ACTUALLY NOT UNDERWATER?????
As the kids say, it is what it is.

It is a pretty difficult road to hoe when big business, mass media, republicans/teabaggers, and unfortunately, members of your own party are constantly screaming negatives. It is pretty damn impressive what he has accomplished.

11. Meh, that poll is all over the place... |
|
Just when I think the trend looks good it will go completely in the other direction.
I think it is better to follow the Real Clear Average rather than just any one poll.
