Are we trying to derail O'Donnell? She is the best thing that has happened to the Dems!! |
|
I hope we don't get more crazy clips from Bill Maher that would prompt the Republicans to take her off the ballot. I think the voters have already decided she is batshit crazy. Our guy is a shoe in, unless we screw it up with the proverbial witch hunt.
She has already lost, no more digging needs to be done.

...at which point you'll wish she was only a clone of Michelle Bachmann. God, this woman is frightening.

2. They CAN'T dump her from the ticket... |
|
The NRSC already tried to drop their support, and the blowback from the Tea Party was so strong that Cornyn ha dto cough up both an endorsement and cash. For better or worse, O'Donnell is their gal for the next six weeks.

3. I don't think there is time to change.... |
|
Generally, I believe (as with Tom Delay) when someone drops out late (after the election slate has been finalized), their name stays on the ballot. I would guess if the person whose name appears on the ballot but has since dropped out, were to win, then the party can indicate who would fill that seat. Others could mount write-in campaigns.
Generally such late drop outs do not bode well for that party because whoever they substitute does not have time to mount a campaign.
So, I would not worry about this... We should worry, instead about having O'Donnell or any of these crazy teabaggers electer.

Who's daddy was a former President?
Yeah, she is the greatest thing until she manages to get in office either by hook or crook.
You have to take these wackos down when ever they pop up.

16. A Castle 3rd party race would take votes away from Coons, not O'Donnell |
|
There are diehards that will vote for O'Donnell no matter what she does. We could report she just dined on the abort fetus she just had with Glen Beck and her supports will still vote for her. However that hardcore group numbers around 35k tops.
If Castle ran as a 3rd Party or Write-in he would simply take votes away from the sane people that recognize O'Donnell is unfit to be a senator and realize their only choice is Coons. I delivered Coons campaign signs to a man who told me point blank "If Castle had won his campaign signs would be on my lawn but O'Donnell is too extreme to be a senator".

6. We are trying to defeat her in an election. |

She hasn't lost until the last ballot is counted. Rember Scott Brown, beef cake centerfold and family values guru? We fight this right down to the end.

Mike Castle sure isn't going to step in at the last minute. And they've got no one else in the wings.
They're fucked as far as DE is concerned.

Revel in the douchebagginess...
What we don't want to do is push desperate Repugs into figuring out some under the table way to sneak her off the ticket.

I'm not about to play that game. We need as much info as possible, because currently, noting is really sticking except for her illegal activities with campaign funding.

illegal activity such as using campaign cash for rent that might get her tossed off, but it's highly unlikely it will.

This investigation will not solve itself in 6 weeks but it will hang over her like a bad stench.
