Using McCain's convention bounce from 2008 to say something about 2010 congressional elections is the kind of spin that is so analytically useless that it seems designed to prey on the weak-minded.

Or perhaps the OP is predicting that Lehman will go belly up again next week.

6. One huge flaw
Obama was ahead since he got the nomination, and even before then in all head to head matches. McCain got a very limited boost after the Republican Convention, and was ahead by no more than 1 or two points in most polls. After a week or so, Obama regained the lead, and never went back.
