(R)asmussen Poll--IL Senate: Kirk 44% (+3) Giannoulias 41% (+4)
Illinois’ race for the U.S. Senate continues to be a close run thing.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Illinois finds Republican Mark Kirk with 44% of the vote and Democrat Alexi Giannoulias with 41% support. Four percent (4%) like Green Party candidate LeAlan Jones. Another four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

The race is still a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Two weeks ago, Kirk held a 41% to 37% lead, while Jones picked up nine percent (9%) of the vote.

4. Surely those green voters who were in this poll will not hand the state over to the
republicons. We're struggling enough as it is.. we don't need to go completely bankrupt!

7. Unfortunately, I think you're seeing the results of the backlash against Rod Blagojevich here
Giannoulias is a good guy. But I think Democrats are going to take a beating in this state in November. It's not looking very good for Pat Quinn for governor, for instance.

In my opinion. For what it's worth.
